Off the Wall!
Vans has brought their iconic Southern California style to the world since 1966. Vans shoes have always been popular with skateboarders, surfers, BMX bikers, artists, musicians and designers. Their signature designs allow wearers to express themselves as individuals and represent their own personal style. Since their start, Vans have grown in popularity and are worn and loved by all walks of life in more than 170 countries. Vans fans can count on Vans to present the latest and greatest in design and pattern and can also custom design their own shoes to create a one-of-a kind work of wearable art. Also popular with Vans devotees are the collaborations inspired by artists and musicians, Liberty Art Fabrics and even Star Wars to name a few! There’s nothing better than a fresh pair of kicks, especially when they’re Vans. A few lucky cities will be able to visit the brand new Vans stores that have or will soon be opening! To celebrate and promote the new stores, Vans is conducting a mall tour in each city. The main attraction of each tour stop will be the giant SK8 Hi shoe cars that will be driven around the malls to alert visitors of the new store. Keep an eye out for those giant shoes…, lucky guests may be treated to special surprise from Vans if they encounter the Vans team driving a SK8 Hi shoe car!
On the Road!
The SK8 Hi cars look great and are suited for traveling short distances, but will not be driven between the tour stops of the Montgomery Mall in North Wales, Pennsylvania; Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, New York; and West Farms Mall in West Hartford, Connecticut. Imagine the traffic on the highways piling up behind a giant driving shoe! The responsibility of carefully transporting the Sk8 Hi cars from location to location has been entrusted to Pyramid Logistics. Pyramid will make sure the Sk8 Hi cars are transported and delivered safely from Pennsylvania to New York to Connecticut to announce the new store openings and for the enjoyment of Vans loyalists. Pyramid Logistics has the experience to get the job done right because they understand logistics… after all it’s in the name.
